About MAC SciTech
MAC SciTech is a specialist technical consultancy led by Dr Michael Maughan.
I help organisations solve difficult scientific and engineering problems where off-the-shelf answers are not enough. My work spans chemistry, electronics, diagnostics, process systems, control, instrumentation and bespoke equipment.
The value I bring is not just in fixing the immediate fault. It is in understanding why the problem exists, what assumptions are built into the system, and what would make the solution robust.
MAC SciTech is deliberately small. Clients work directly with the person doing the thinking, designing, building and troubleshooting.
Our work has ranged from advanced life-support and carbon dioxide recycling systems to diagnostic hardware, custom control systems, electromechanical equipment and practical engineering tools for complex real-world processes.
