Our Advanced Closed-Loop Life Support System (ACLS) allows capture of carbon dioxide from an off-planet habitation unit to enable the recycling of breathing gases, saving payload and extending mission durations. At the heart of the system lies our CHRSy reactor for the efficient and reliable continuous processing of CO2.
Our next-generation system offers the unique capability of being able to switch from processing exhaled CO2 for Lunar, Leo and Mars Transit to in-situ resource utilisation (ISRU) through processing of atmospheric CO2 on Mars which will allow production of oxygen for breathing and carbon-based compounds for use as fuels and in manufacturing enabling our future exploration of the Red Planet.
